Sound Transit is improving access to the Auburn Sounder Station for riders, whether they access the station by walking, bicycling, connecting buses or driving. The project includes a new parking garage located at 1st Street Northwest. The project is expected to be complete by 2027.

With two roundtrips added to Sounder South in 2017, 13 daily roundtrips now stop at Auburn Station. More than 16,000 riders use Sounder South every weekday, and ridership continues to grow, increasing demand for parking and easy bike, pedestrian, and local transit connections.
